Shame

For some of us shame is the most difficult road block we ever encounter our on journey to friendship with Jesus. There are no detours around shame. It has to be faced. If we cannot talk about our shame it owns us. Anything we cannot talk about in our lives is part of the fortress of shame, a fortress designed to keep the grace of God out and depression and lies in. Shamed people give up and fall into rebellion, or they work like dogs to be perfect. But no shamed person is ever happy, and all shamed people hide from themselves and others.
