MorningStarMinistries.org Rick is also one of my long term friends. He is a major prophetic voice in the church today. Morning Star Ministries has one of the best prophetic training centers that I have seen, but I worry about Rick. I think it is very possible that his addiction to golf and Harley Davidson motorcycles may prove to be his undoing. One motorcycle ride with him on the Blue Ridge Parkway was almost my undoing. Anyway you won’t be going to his site for golf or motorcycles, but neverless I highly recommend him.

FOTB.com Mike and I have been close friends for 20 years. He is very much like an ascetic married monk, somehow he manages to make living in poverty (what he calls moderation) look attractive, but it only looks attractive, because when I tried I hated it. However the joy of his own relationship with the Lord inspires me to want to love God more, to pray more, and to read the Bible more. Go to his website and learn about the great things God is doing.
Ken Gire
ReflectiveLiving.com Ken Gire has been one of my most devoted disciples for almost 40 years, ever since he was the president of Arlington Heights High School in Ft. Worth, Texas. This perhaps better than any other single fact explains many of the disfunctions in Kens life. Not withstanding these ticks, he is one of the best writters on the spiritual life that I consistently read. You will appreciate his heart, his intelligence and his wit. You probably won’t like his website that much, but may really enjoy his books.

A church that takes risks rather than plays it safe. A church that trains people rather than offers them a place to sit, and a church that is filled with laughter rather than judgement. Recommended Books
Two highly recommended books on the problem of shame
- Healing the Shame that Binds: by John Bradshaw
- Shame and Guilt: by Jane Middleton-Moz
Both of these books provide excellent understanding of the ways in which shame gets control over us. All parents, grandparents, and future parents should learn about the ways of shame so we can avoid shaming those we love. The weakness of both books is that don’t relate the healing of shame to the blood of Jesus. But I haven’t yet seen a book that does this effectively.
